Happy New Year!

So I realize that I didn’t do a post about our one year anniversary yet, but it will be up soon. Honestly I had a really good blog post written, but I didn’t post it. When I was reading it and editing it I decided that it would make a better gift than a blog post. So it became Jacobs anniversary gift from me, and a really good one if I say so myself.

Anyway. After we got back from our anniversary getaway the school had a big Christmas program that Tuesday night. I got home after the program and I didn’t feel great, but I figured I was just tired. I went to bed at elven and stayed in bed until eleven o’clock Wednesday morning. I laid around the house all day,and Jacob made dinner. Thursday I felt pretty well back to normal. Friday I stayed in bed again. I spent the next few days alternating between the couch and the bed. It wasn’t until Monday or Tuesday that I started to feel alive again. I would have gone to the doctor, but by Friday when I was feeling bad again it had already been 48 hours so Tamaflu wouldn’t have helped.

I stayed in bed/on the couch for about four days, and actually some good came of it. For one I got to watch Jacob do the things I normally do, like load the dishwasher and do laundry. (This is not to say that I didn’t have a pile of dishes to do when I got better, or that my laundry was done. But hey less for me to deal with.) I also managed to finish the second half of season five and watch all of season six of Parks and Recreation. I am now all caught up for when it comes back on in January. What can I say, it was the only thing I felt like doing.

As I was saying, I will have our one year anniversary post up so, a long with my one and only new year resolution.

See you guys on Monday!
