The past couple of weeks have been filled with home advancements! Last week we got our upper cabinets, textured the entry way, and painted. We painted the living room, the kitchen, and the entry way. It was a very good … Continue reading
So I bought the paint today, so I am painting the entryway, kitchen, and the living room today!
Hold the applause.
We are finally to the home stretch. We are spraying the texture on the new part this weekend which means our whole house will be painted by next Friday! If everything goes as planned.
I am so excited, you have no idea. Like no idea. I feel like this might be really happening now. We have to paint, sand the floors in the new part, lay the floors, put in the doors, and then the grand finale. We move in!
And I do a blog post.
Which is why I am stopping myself from posting pictures today. Which is incredibly hard because I am so happy. I can’t wait to share my color palettes and furniture with all of you. Honestly I am getting supper happy just thinking about it.
It’s time to get back to painting, I just had to get all of that out there.

I should be apologizing profusely for the fact that my craft project will not be up on the blog tomorrow. But I’m not. As they say, #sorrynotsorry.
Because, we are tape and bedding the house this week! I also have cheer camp next week that I have been planning, and I have been having to clean out the storage room. So maybe it will be up next week, or maybe the next. It really depends on how quickly things move on the house. School starts the 25th and like I said, I have cheer camps next week. Three days of them to be exact, and I haven’t finished the camp cheer yet. I am off to move boxes, I hope that everyone else is having a productive week.
This weekend, I am doing a very exciting craft project! I was so excited about it, that I went to Walmart at 11pm to get the stuff. I’m not going to spoil the surprise, but the post will be up on Thursday. It seems like a long time, but I have some photo editing to do before I can post it, I’m also giving me some extra time in case life happens again.
What are your weekend plans? Jacob is working nights this weekend, so mine involve staying up late, watching chick flicks, and eating sugar cookies at 1am. I watch Grease almost every time he is working nights, (this weekend it was Divergent and Grease). What can I say, I like to live life on the edge. Ashley is spending that night with me Sunday night, so maybe that will change things up a bit.
Jacob has been working a lot of overtime lately, I can’t complain because I am very thankful for his job. It might not be his dream job, but the benefits are incredible, and really it isn’t a bad place to work. They are just short a fair amount of people. I just hate not seeing him. To all of my out-of-town friends and family, it’s not that we don’t want to see you guys. He just hasn’t had very many days off. When he has had days off he has been sleeping or working on the house, if he is up to it that is. Once again, I’m sorry and we really are trying to get up there to see all of you, it just hasn’t happened yet. But, if you want to talk to us/me, I am always available to talk, text, message, email, etc.. And if you do make your way down here let me know, I will be glad to meet with you. If you give us a heads up and Jacob’s off he will meet with you to. Life may be busy, but it’s not so busy that I can’t stop to talk or eat lunch. Believe it or not it does get quiet over here, and I am always looking for an excuse to change out of my scrub pants and get out of house work/school work for a while.
I have to admit that my scrub pants and I have a lot of bonding time together. Some people have coffee, I have scrub pants.
Are they the cutest thing I could wear? No, but they sure are comfy!
I am off to go watch Grease, see you guys on Thursday!
I am so thankful to finally be done with my college algebra class. I took my last final today and I passed! I was finally at the point today where I didn’t even care if I passed I was just ready to be done.
Last night I stayed up until 4:30am studying for my math test. If I hadn’t passed this class, I was going to have to go a whole extra semester. It would push my graduation date back, and it’s not like I am going to die of old age or anything. I just didn’t want to have to spend all of the extra money.
Anyway, so math finals are done now so maybe I can finally get some of the stuff done that I have been needing to get done. Like cheer camp and laundry.
I am so behind on laundry it is not even funny. But I will deal with it tomorrow. Tonight I am going to take a long hot bath, watch a movie, and paint my toes. Maybe eat some cake.
After this week is over I will have a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders, and I will be able to blog more. Math has been a very time-consuming class because there are assignments due every other day. Needless to say it will be like having a whole extra week when it’s over. Maybe I can finally add the last 5000 words to my novel before school starts.
I have noticed in the past few posts that my view have dropped significantly, where is everyone? I’m not sure if my blog is as boring as my stats say it is, or if I am just not posting about the right stuff. The only way that I can fix this is to know what everyone wants to read about. If you have any ideas, suggestions, or questions that you want answered drop a comment down below, or send me an email (you can find it on the “Contact Me” page). Do you want to read book reviews, or any kind of review for that matter? Do you want to read about my fur-babies? I just don’t know. I am not a mind reader, nor do I want to be. I will really appreciate any feedback that I get from all of you!
With that, I am back off to do math. I hope that all of you are having a much better week than I am. Sadly, it’s only Monday. Hopefully I will hear from you soon, and if not you will hear from me on Friday when all of my test are done and grades are back. Friday will either be a really bad day or a really good. Fingers crossed that it’s good, because I really don’t want to retake college algebra.
I added a cute puppy to lighten the week a little bit, because cuteness really is the best medicine.
July just flew right on by, and I think the heat went with it. I never thought that it could be this cold in August in Texas, but it is. It is like in the low 80s high 70s outside and there is a beautiful breeze. Perfect for out-door picnics and such.
Unfortunately I am stuck in the house. Doing my least favorite thing in the world. Math. I am taking my final next week, and my wonderful teacher opened up all of the home work and quizzes from this morning at eight till tomorrow night at ten for us to redo anything that we wanted a higher grade on, and to practice. I am very thankful for this opportunity, because the more home work and quizzes that I can get to a 100, the less points I have to get on my final. If I get my quiz percentage to a 100% average, and my homework to a 90% average then I only have to make like a 55 on my final! Which should be doable.
Anyway, I am back off to work on math. I hope that everyone is having a great summer, if you did anything fun this summer be sure to tell me all about it in the comments! I will be posting about my California road trip hopefully sometime in the next two weeks. Have a great weekend!
